Attracting more than 12,000 local and regional visitors each year, the Kāpiti Food Fair has something for everyone. Grab yourself a jute shopping bag at the gate and meander your way around the huge range of stalls, who will be showcasing a mixture of packaged and ready-to-eat foods, including an array of artisan brews and spirits.  Taste your way around the Fair and take home treats to store away in the pantry - it’s the perfect time to shop for Christmas gifts too!

When it's time for a well-deserved rest, pull up a seat at Tuatara Bar and enjoy the local and national musical acts on the Tuatara stage.  Headlining this year is one of New Zealand’s leading country singers, Jody Direen, who has previously won the Aotearoa Music Awards for Best Country Artist.

If you're looking to learn some cooking tips head over to the Sustainable Foods Kitchen Stage where you'll find cooking demos by Kaibosh Kāpiti, local 2022 MasterChef New Zealand contestant Lance Meynell, and Fiona Greig of Sunday Cantina who will whip up a few of her favourite recipes. Here is where you can also learn more about plant-based foodie delights cooked up by Co-Founder of Plan*t, Kryan Rei.

The Fair also caters for the kids, making this a truly great family experience. Under 16’s have free entry, and the kids’ zone, abuzz with face painting, circus performers and buskers, will keep them entertained. It's the perfect opportunity to gather the whānau and enjoy a family day out.

Whether you’re local or coming from out of town, there are several ways to get to the Fair.  Walk, drive, bike or catch the free bus from Paraparaumu Railway Station, and if you’re coming from Wellington, then it’s just a short trip up Transmission Gully or on the train and hop on the free bus.  There’s plenty of parking on-site in exchange for a gold coin.

With almost 250 different stalls to visit you don’t want to let your taste buds miss out on this delicious day!
